I have to say that our hike camp this week-end for our older scouts could not have been more enjoyable. The weather, the Greenwich District camp site at Downe that we have never used before, the group of young people and their sense of respect and fun, could not have been better. And their map-reading, hiking and camping skills were really good.
So, I sip my white-wine, contemplate a nice meal and a bath with some satisfaction.
Thanks to Paul Wooten, Rod, Ricky and Tom for helping lead, and to Rebekah, Jade, George, Josh, Luke, Duncan and Jack for giving me such an enjoyable birthday week-end. I have posted a few pictures of our camp, and it really was as enjoyable as it looks.
And so to District sciout camp next week-end.
