16th Bermondsey Scout Group

For the third consecutive year our group ran the district night activity from our site at Biggin hill. It was a brilliant turn-out with 10 teams of scouts hiking around a dry route on a very pleasant evening (for a change at this event).  Eddie organised the event with help from our leaders and YLs.

Well done to Samir and his  16th B (2) team of James, Ben, Reece, Natalia and Chelsea for being the BEST team without helpers in the District on the Torchlight challenge.

For a second year we were kindly invited to enter a team in the Esher Scout District competition Hike. Our team of James W, James A, Sabrina and Samir were really brave and cheerful in dreadfully wet weather, but rather lost the hiking plot.

Our Group ran the Beaver Explore badge around City Hall and Tower Bridge, about 70 beavers plus leaders and helpers walked around a ‘History Trail’ and all got a Hikes Away Badge too!

We all enjoyed the sunny morning but not until the More London security had evicted us all from the Scoop!
